Learn about all aspects of power quality ranging from solar and EMF, to how electric utilities utilize self healing teams to reduce outage duration for customers. Upon completion of this course you will receive a certificate. Power quality has came to the forefront of not only what customers and electric utilities want but what they need to operate properly with today's modern systems and power needs. With today's modern electronics requiring much cleaner power it is important to know how to properly provide that and how to properly prepare for issues that may arise. In this course we will go over the basics of power quality and how to properly study power quality issues, what EMF is and how to properly measure EMF levels, Harmonics, surge protection and how harmonics affect surge protection devices. We will also go over how to properly prep your industrial facility for storm season. Self healing teams will be explained in this course, what they are, how the operate and how the electric utilities utilize them to reduce customer outage duration. In addition, your instructor will be available for any questions, input or advice needed on any power quality issues you might encounter in the field. This course is intended for any and all personnel in the power industry.
