This course is a master class in the creation of corporate strategy. The instructor provides a seasoned strategy consultant's methods for companies that want to embark on strategy in a do-it-yourself model. The instructor will teach how to spiral into the answers needed to create the strategy statements. The class will optimize team performance and ensure that all work within the organization is delivered in a way that is aligned with the strategic goals of the organization. The lectures will focus on the four pillars and cornerstones of strategy: creation of vision, mission, strategy and core values. The instructor will introduce the students to tools, frameworks and models that can be used to supplement their efforts. The end result will be the creation of the four pillars of strategy and also provides a method for implementation and rollout. This class will reduce the need for an outside consultant and enable an internal facilitator to lead the group through the exercises. The class covers everything from pre-planning (who should be on the team; when to schedule sessions; where to hold the sessions) to how to use the spiral technique to be effective in the actual strategy sessions. Finally, the instructor will cover what comes next including how to rollout the strategy and take the next steps in marketing, storytelling and crafting the elevator pitch.
