During this course, parents explore ways to increase student achievement. We know that parental engagement in student learning has tremendous potential to boost outcomes. This course is designed to help parents delve deeper into the lessons presented in my book, "Parent Support: 30 Ways to Support Your Child's Education". "Parent Support͛" provides practical solutions that help parents (and educators) support children's educational goals. Parents put in long hours to help children succeed academically. Many seek guidance through the maze of homework, exam preparation, and class projects. In this guide, Jillian shares advice that is proven to reap rewards for families and facilitate development of strong home-school partnerships. Readers are invited to view learning from an effective educator's perspective."Parent Support" is comprised of twenty-six lessons. Each lesson offers practical, relatable strategies along with clear, concise explanations and examples. The premise is that by leveraging everyday experiences as learning opportunities, performance improves in class and at home.The strategies learned in the book and within course modules are applicable to parents of learners of all ages; strategies are also transferable across subject areas. With expert guidance and quality tools, parents learn how to demonstrate a direct relationship between children's learning styles and study strategies for the purpose of improving study environments outside of structured classroom settings.Upon completion of Part 1, parents have the skills to leverage learning style toward improved academic achievement.
