A basic primer on creating your own animal control program in your location. Topics will include training, education as well as some keys to success in creating your program. Course will finish with some case studies to give perspective of what a day in the life of an ACHO is like. Skills used can then be applied to help create a program and continue to help is grow. This course is based off of requirements for the state of WI and the local laws of the 6 jurisdictions I work in. Your state and local laws may be different.This course does not provide a certificate nor is it recognized by any state, local or federal authority nor can it be used for CEUs. It is however taught by a professional with a state certification. This course is designed to be for educational purposes and is not meant to be all encompassing. State and local laws may differ. Please adhere to state and local law in your area.This course it meant to provide a foundation for what might be needed in establishing an animal control program in the local area or helping to improve an existing program.
