Hello and welcome! I am so glad that you have decided to join in this art journaling journey with me! This is a class for beginners with no experience needed! All you need is an old book and a few supplies to create a creative art journal ready for you to fill with your creative ideas and inspiration. We will find inspiration from the contents of an old book to make a few creative art journal spreads, and have some mindful paint play. I found a really great old book at a thrift store to use, but you can use any old book you don't mind transforming into an art journal! I hope that you will find inspiration in the pages of your book as well!First we will choose a book, then support the book so that it can handle the paint and materials that we will use. Then we will play with paints and collage! We will create a spread inspired by a chapter from my book on "Bees" as well as a spread inspired by words from the book, and create some abstract backgrounds that you can add images and/or words to whenever the inspiration strikes. This is a great project to let your mind wander, relax and enjoy the creative process. I can't wait to see what you create!
