Businesses have the potential to be a powerful force for good in the world, providing economic opportunities, creating jobs, and promoting the overall well-being of society. When run with integrity and guided by ethical principles, businesses can contribute to the prosperity of individuals, families, and communities.Unfortunately, throughout history, businesses have been used as a means of exploiting workers, monopolizing resources, and enriching a small group of elites at the expense of the masses. This has led to great social and economic inequalities, as well as environmental degradation and other negative outcomes.There is a genuine need for businesspeople to view their profession as a mission. Businesses create jobs, develop products and services, and offer economic development and human dignity. Teaching and mentoring are some of the greatest contributions businesspeople can make to society. In this video, we look at business history and contrast the two approaches and purposes of business. Redeeming business means taking steps to ensure that business is conducted in a responsible, ethical, and sustainable way. This involves not only following legal regulations but also adhering to higher moral and spiritual principles that guide the way we conduct ourselves in business.By learning to operate businesses based on Biblical principles, we can create organizations that promote human dignity, social justice, and environmental stewardship. This includes treating employees and stakeholders with respect, practicing fairness in our dealings, and using resources responsibly to benefit society as a whole.Joining the movement to redeem business is an opportunity to be part of a positive transformation in the way business is conducted. Together, we can work to create a more just and sustainable world for all.
