Cold cases are rampant throughout the United States and the world. What makes an investigation go cold? How do you even begin to look at the pieces and put it all together? What can be done to decrease the amount of cold cases? In recent years, more and more cold cases are being solved through the advancement of evidence and technology. Explore reasons why the advancement of technology and the understanding of DNA, fingerprints and other types of evidence are making a difference in the outcome of cold case investigations. Cold cases effect families most and the more that is known about cold case investigation, the more likely cases may be solved. This course will give you an inside look from a Cold Case Investigator/Crime Analyst's perspective. The instructor has worked over 30 death investigations in just 8 years, with half of those being cold cases. The course will have interesting case studies.
