A rapid evolution of intelligent threats necessitates an organized and proactive counterintelligence approach. On a smaller, more visible scale, one can observe parallels in marketing-where information gathering and techniques to influence behaviour are similar to and sometimes overlapping with those employed in intelligence operations. These same principles are leveraged within defense and security frameworks to manipulate individuals and exploit vulnerabilities. While no one willingly signs up to be treated as an intelligence product, this is a reality many face unknowingly. Through instruments of coercion, adversaries achieve their objectives by targeting individuals based on their sphere of influence and activities. This course aims to equip participants with theoretical and practical knowledge and tools to recognize, mitigate, and counteract such threats effectively. This course is designed for the demands of its participants-you can skip sections and revisit them at your convenience.Traditional cybersecurity and Technical Security Countermeasures (TSCM) resources are available in supplemental course offerings and are not represented in detail throughout this course.
