This course i.e Chemical Reaction Engineering (CRE) is beneficial for Chemical Engineering as well as Petrochemical Engineering students. Apart from Engineering students this course is also beneficial for the BSc. and MSc students as it deals with the kinetics of chemical reactions which is the part of the under graduation and postgraduation science course. This course is divided in to two parts CRE I and CRE II. The first part of this course basically deals with the general introduction of reaction kinetics, mechanism of chemical reactions and the design of chemical reactor in which chemical reactions take place. In this part we will discuss different types of reactions and their mechanism, besides we will derive the designing equations for the different types of reactors. The second part covers the discussion on Catalysis, Catalytic reactions mechanism and non-ideal reactors. At the end of this course, Students will be able to learn the basic mechanism of the reactions which are taking place in the synthesis of the various chemical products in the chemical industry. They will be familiar with the various types of reactors used in the chemical industry either small- or large-scale. They will have better understanding about the Catalysis and catalytic reactions.
