A Nursing Assistant, also known as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Nursing Aide, is a healthcare professional who provides basic care to patients in hospitals, nursing homes, long-term care facilities, and other healthcare settings. Nursing assistants work under the supervision of registered nurses (RNs) or licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting.
