This is a concise course that simplifies the creation of a Business Requirements Document (BRD) for a project in Information Technology (IT).BRD requirements are sketched and defined in 2 steps: 1) the first step - Part One - identifies the 6 key project areas for a project that is not IT-related; and 2) the second step - Part Two - describes the 6 required areas for a BRD in IT. The 6 required areas for a BRD in IT are as follows: (1) SCOPE. The Business Analyst/Project Manager needs to know which features of the projectare his/her responsibility and which features are not his/her responsibility.(2) CONSTRAINTS. For examples, constraints or limits on the project budget or required time of completion for the project.(3) ASSUMPTIONS. This may refer to "an educated guess" - for example, assuming that testing resources will be available when parts of the project need to be tested.4) FRONT-END TECHNOLOGIES (VISIBLE AREAS). For example, a Graphic User Interface or GUI.(5) BACK-END TECHNOLOGIES (NON-VISIBLE AREAS), which describes technology that the user cannot see in the browser. For example, a database or server.(6) REGULATIONS, which describes the regulatory standards that apply to the project being developed.Colorful graphics animate the discussion, and a quiz follows each lecture.
