Business Communication for Technical Professionals is a course for anyone working in tech or dealing with any kind of complex or industry-specific content (like science, healthcare, manufacturing), although anyone who wants to communicate more effectively in any business context could also benefit. Most educational materials out there related to business/tech communication are either focusing on general communication concepts, or are specifically focused on presentations, data visualization, and storytelling. What this course does differently is connect the general communication concepts specifically to technical work and business value, with tips on how to communicate the value of technical work effectively to different audiences within an organization.Although technical workers are not necessarily spending the majority of their time building PowerPoints and delivering formal presentations, you are communicating with team members and business partners regularly in emails, meetings, Slack messages, and informal conversations.
