Welcome to the beginners sewing course with Holly Stirman, an experienced fashion designer specialising in upcycling, where we cover everything from threading a sewing machine to creating your own maxi skirt. No prior sewing experience is required but you will need access to a sewing machine.In Lesson 1, we will learn the basics of using a sewing machine and how to thread one. Lesson 2 will cover five basic stitches that are commonly used in sewing projects. Lesson 3 focuses on understanding patterns and drafting your own maxi skirt pattern.In Lesson 4, we will go through how to pin down your patterns onto fabric and cut out your patterns, preparing them for sewing. Finally, in Lesson 5, we will sew the skirt together.
