This course will give you a gentle introduction to the Automotive Network industry. It will help you to understand the challenges network designers and systems architects face. At the start, you will be guided through the beginnings of Automotive networking and its value-adding role within the industry. We will touch upon simple serial protocol communication with traditional UARTs, before diving deeper into our first network technology LIN - Local Interconnect Networks. The LIN specification is explained in detail. In the end, you will have touched upon all market-relevant topics on LIN.It is accompanied by a hands-on example so that you can experiment at home and better understand the underlying on how UARTs and LIN operate and work.
