The course focuses mainly on providing the student with the tools for modeling and detailing steel structures using Autodesk Advance Steel, incorporating all the members, components, and metal connections that make up a project. The BIM workflow is established in the Autodesk environment and all the construction plans are obtained for the final delivery of a standard project (plans, elevations, sections, connections, stairs, among others). #AulaGEOYou will learn to:1. Incorporate different types of steel connections to a 3D model, including all its components (plates, bolts, anchors, and welds)2. Generate the construction plans of a steel structure project, including the details of the connections used.3. Create automated drawings from the developed model, with integrated change management.4. Configure processes and custom drawing styles for the generation of the structural details of the project.5. Extract reports and lists of materials of the entire project carried out.6. Apply visual programming in Dynamo for task parameterization and automation.7. Apply BIM interoperability between Advance Steel and other programs such as Revit and Robot Structural Analysis.Content of the courseSection 1: Introduction to Advance SteelLesson 1: Introduction to the softwareLesson 2: Typical workflowLesson 3: User interfaceLesson 4: Tool PalettesLesson 5: Folder structuresLesson 6: Auxiliary objects and referencesSection 2: Creation of structural modelsLesson 7: Concrete objectsLesson 8: Profile placementLesson 9: Editing composite sectionsLesson 10: Frame portalsLesson 11: Mono-pitch FrameLesson 12: JoistsLesson 13: TrussesLesson 14: Project ExplorerLesson 15: PurlinsLesson 16: BracingsLesson 17: Creation of new materialsLesson 18: Creation of new sectionsLesson 19: Curved elementsLesson 20: Stairs and handrailsSection 3: Connections and details in steelLesson 21: Connection paletteLesson 22: Configurations prior to working with connectionsLesson 23: Connection Properties DialogLesson 24:Connections by templatesLesson 25: Connection groupLesson 26: Manage connection poolLesson 27: Propagate connectionsLesson 28: Connections involving concrete elementsLesson 29: Plate makingLesson 30: Graitings creationLesson 31: Folded planksLesson 32: Bolts and WeldsLesson 33: Custom connectionsLesson 34: Custom sectionsLesson 35: Practical example connectionsSection 4: Connections and details in steelLesson 36: Model verificationLesson 37: NumberingLesson 38: Document ManagerLesson 39: Camera CreationLesson 40: Drawing ProcessesLesson 41: Drawing StyleLesson 42: Bill of QuantitiesLesson 43: BIM WorkflowLesson 44: Advance Steel-Revit interoperabilityLesson 45: Advance Steel- Robot InteroperabilityLesson 46: Visual programming in DynamoLesson 47: Automation of repetitive tasksLesson 48: Structure optimizationRequirementsIt is recommended to have mastery of the CAD environmentWho is this course for?Structural engineersDraftsmen of structural steel projectsTechnicians and professionals in steel parts workshopBIM modelers in general
