You must first read Luke 5 where it says, '.they pressed on Him to hear the Word'. This means that whenever the crowds came together, they used to press on Jesus just to hear the Word. They didn't just gather to see Jesus, but they gathered for a specific purpose - they were sick and tired of what the Pharisees were doing. What was the first thing that the crowds cried out when Jesus came onto the scene, after He returned from the wilderness? They cried out these words, "He is not like the scribes and the Pharisees because His Word is with power!" (Luke 4:32).This is how the Word, which is the seed, works: If you have this Word - if you hear it and you keep on keeping on with the Word - things will be added to you. This means that you will receive more and more. However, if you sit in Church and hear the Word, yet you still complain, grudge, moan, groan and confess what the cares say, Jesus says that even what you have will be taken away from you. This is the reason why so many Christians say to their pastors, "I don't know why this is happening to us. We've been doing so well, but look at what's happening now.we have been giving our tithes, but now we have stopped breaking through..."You need to keep the Word and you also need to stay with it, because His Word is with power!
