Apply your knowledge and skills to complete a small-scale, integrative project involving analysis of a real-world, educational data set.

In this capstone, you will learn how to:

  • Plan and execute an integrated, learning analytics project;
  • Evaluate and apply analytic concepts and toolsets learned from previous courses in the MicroMasters to address key educational challenges;
  • Work with large-scale learning data in an educational setting;
  • Identify and address potential ethical concerns in your project.

This Capstone Course is the final step to complete the Learning Analytics MicroMasters Program credential. Participants will have the opportunity to demonstrate mastery of fundamental learning analytics knowledge and skills developed through their coursework by working on a small-scale, integrative project. Using a common, real-world educational dataset, participants will choose different analytics techniques presented throughout the MicroMasters and will submit their projects the final week of the course.

In order to qualify for this course, you must successfully earn a Verified Certificate in all nine courses in the Learning Analytics MicroMasters Program.
