How has technology changed the world of education? This course will examine the meaningful integration of technology into classrooms through a design-based process. Educators will develop an understanding of how to integrate digital tools into their classroom. This design framework will help teachers develop authentic projects that use technology as thinking tools. The course will also explore relevant learning theories and their practical applications to technology-infused classroom learning. Teachers will examine the emerging importance of formative assessment of student learning, enabled by technology tools. Participants will have the opportunity to begin to build a personal learning network of educators interested in exploring new approaches to teaching and learning with technology, and innovating instruction.
