With a population of 9 billion expected in the next 15 years, the “take-make-waste” approach isn’t sustainable. Leading businesses, supported by governments are exploring how to make the circular economy happen. In this new world, waste will be eradicated and we will reuse, repair, remanufacture and recycle products, protect the environment and create value for the benefit of everyone. This is where you come in.

If you want to understand how you can contribute to the circular economy, this course is for you. You will gain an understanding of the concepts, strategies and technologies that enable a circular economy. We’ll discuss opportunities and barriers in the transition towards a more circular system, and give you many examples and case studies along the way.

The course is led byTU Delft and co-created with the Ellen MacArthur Foundation and the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Centre for Sustainability.
