"Chinese character" (1st volume) course will be divided into 40 lessons in this term.There will be one lesson on every Monday to Thursday. Each lesson has a theme shown in a short video of 5-10 minutes. In the video, there are 6 characters relevant to the theme. There are totally 240 Chinese characters in this course. After the teaching of the Chinese characters, the common Chinese vocabulary, which is composed of the Chinese characters taught in the previous part, will be shown in the second part of the video. In this way, the Chinese characters and the vocabulary could be combined together to enhance the learner`s reading ability. Each Friday will be a day of learners` self - testing. No lesson will be on that day, but a quiz instead. The score of 70 out of 100 is required.

There are 1,200 basic Chinese words composed of 240 commonly used Chinese characters, which start from “一”(one), including pronunciation, shape and meaning, so that to improve the learning effect.
