This course is the second in the four-course Specialization Essentials of Corporate Financial Analysis and Decision-Making.
In this course you will develop an understanding of the key financial markets commonly available to CFOs and investors looking to maximize value while managing risk, their role in facilitating business development and growth, and identification of the key players in these markets.
Instructors from the University of Melbourne, together with their partners at BNY Mellon, move beyond the textbook approach to financial markets by providing you with an appreciation of the opportunities, constraints and challenges that practitioners face when solving real-world financing problems in global capital markets.
Module 1: An introduction to key global markets
Module 2: Developing an understanding of how global markets create value and identifying the importance of different participants in those markets
Module 3: Understanding financing opportunities and regulatory constraints of global capital markets
Module 4: Identifying the links between global markets (capital and otherwise)
In this course, participants will learn about how different markets around the world can interact to create value for, and effectively manage the risk of, corporations and their stakeholders. This is part of a Specialization in corporate finance created in partnership between the University of Melbourne and Bank of New York Mellon (BNY Mellon).
