To maximize benefits and mitigate unintended negative consequences, the European Commission's High-Level expert group on Artificial Intelligence proposed a framework for Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence. This modules provides an overview on artificial intelligence in the healthcare sector, Trustworthy AI, and what topics the following modules will touch in more detail.
Name:Introduction to Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare
Description:The later modules in the course will expect some basic knowledge on artificial intelligence, which will be introduced in this module. The introduction will focus on very high level concepts and will be free of formulae. First, we will bring some clarification on the term "artificial intelligence" (or AI for short) and give a historical overview on how AI was applied in healthcare and how this application changed over time. We also go over possible applications of AI in healthcare, and show common challenges AI systems face. Finally, we will go over some of the ways AI systems can be made understandable to humans users.

Description:This module is an introduction to Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence. First, we will introduce the Ethics Guidelines for Trustworthy AI, especially the core ethical principles for trustworthy AI systems, and key requirements to implement them. Then, we will have a look at Z-Inspection®, a process to assess trustworthy AI in practice.
