简介: 在介绍材料与文明基本概念基础上,结合主讲教师的研究领域,论证了人类从猿人发展为现代人、发展到有文字记载的文明人的历史,就是一部材料和技术的演变史,阐明材料是人类赖以生存和发展的物质基础,是人类社会进步的里程碑,是高新技术发展和社会现代化的先导,是一个国家科学技术和工业水平的反映和标志。以陶器和高温合金为例,详细阐释了材料与文明的关系;以钢铁、磁性材料、半导体材料为例,说明了材料的发展和应用对于第一、二、三次工业革命的推动作用;结合生物医用材料,论证了材料也是人类健康长寿的物质基础。
